Our history

Eden Christian Trust (ECT) was originally formed in 1990, but has been operating in its current format since 1997. Our Youth Club has been for the last few years based at the Riverside Building at the bottom of Edenbridge High Street in the town. Regularly we have seen between 30/40 children attending on a Friday night during term time. We have further outreach programmes within the town and involvement with the local primary schools within the area.

Trustees are selected from the Eden Church (Baptist), Church of England, St Johns (URC) and the Grace community Church. There are currently seven trustees and one co-opted position (non-trustee). The named positions are as follows:

• Chairman

• Treasurer

• Fundraiser

• Safe Guarding Officer

• Plus three other trustees

• Secretary (Co-opted)

To deliver its objectives the trust employs a full time youth worker (the only paid employee) who is supported in the youth club activities by a number of volunteer youth leaders.
